Some 120 Indonesian Military (TNI) troopers are ready to join the maritime task force under the aegis of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), an Indonesian diplomat said.
The troops were scheduled to leave for Cairo, Egypt, by the end of January 2009 by warship KRI Diponegoro.
"The troops are expected to arrive in Cairo on Feb. 10, 2009. The warship and its crew will be sent to Lebanon`s maritime area at the end of June, along with troops from Germany, Italy and Spain under the UNIFIL flag," Defence Attache at the Indonesian Embassy in Cairo Sigit Soekirno said here on Friday.
